Sensation and movement concurrently resonate within our responsive, human bodies. This is a commonality amongst us, and the two functions are fastened together. Movement sparks sensation that we can physically feel, and in turn, our awakened senses cause us to shift. And although we continuously advance through this flux of activity, everything remains to be inherent in our muscle, skin and bones, sculpting our corporeal and mental beings.
We are physical manifestations of our individual experiences. This notion lays foundation for Izzie's ongoing practical and theoretical research in visual and sonic arts.
Through explorations of movement, sound, film, curation, structural design, installation and integration of digital interactivity, Izzie strives to illuminate how performance installation can inspire felt experiences in both performer and/or spectator.
